Charter School
In an effort to prepare students for success in Delaware's key industries, including medical fields, manufacturing, and banking, the new Community STEM Hub at a local charter school provides a transformative space for hands-on STEM education. On top of extending 20 additional classes, the newly constructed facility also features state-of-the-art equipment like 3D printers, laser cutters, and a specialized gaming and coding center, allowing students to connect classroom learning with real-world applications. Additionally, the Community STEM Hub supports the broader community by offering mental health services and after-school programs, creating an environment that fosters academic achievement and personal growth.

“We know that to prepare young people for successful lives, we have to make sure that they’re able to grow up in an environment that is conducive to their learning. That means that addressing issues of poverty are very important and that means access to careers, that means training, that means that there’s a pathway that they can see as a viable option. A STEM Hub is a way that we can say not only do we believe that this is the education you should receive, but this is how it plays out for you if you’re successful in this field.”

- Aaron Bass, CEO of EastSide Charter School
